Mykal Elder, a sole trader trading as Rug Emporium (ABN 27 347 225 730) ("Rug Emporium", "we", "us"), respects your privacy. - Order and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.
- Order history: the products you buy, order totals, and any returns or enquiries.
- Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Communications: emails, contact form messages and photos you send us, for example of your room or your rug.
- Website usage: information collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site.
How We Use It
- To process, deliver and support your order, including returns, exchanges and warranty claims.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide services you ask for, such as free styling.
- To help prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
- To improve our website, products and service.
- To send you marketing emails, but only if you have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Who We Share It With
We only share your information with businesses that help us run our store and fulfil your order, and only as needed for that purpose. These include:
- our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and payment providers;
- our supplier's warehouse and our courier partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your rug or collect a return;
- our email and analytics service providers.
We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Storage Overseas
Some of our service providers, including Shopify, store data on servers outside Australia, such as in Canada and the United States. We use reputable providers that protect personal information with appropriate safeguards.
