Equipment/Tools

• Glass, airtight storage container
• Medium-sized bowl
• Wooden or plastic spoon

Materials

• 1 cup Baking soda
• 12 drops of French lavender essential oil

Instructions

1. Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, add droplets of the essential oils to the baking soda. Make sure to disperse the drops to the baking soda evenly.

2. Stir Well

Using a plastic spoon, blend the mixture well. Make sure to break up all of the clumps.

3. Store

Store the lavender mixture in a glass airtight container.

4. Spread Lavender Mixture Over Surface and Vacuum

Shake the lavender mixture lightly and spread it over the entire surface of your carpets and rugs. Leave it for at least 15 minutes up to a day, then vacuum.

Personalize Your Rug & Carpet Freshener

Change things up a bit by blending your rug & carpet freshener with lemon, orange, peppermint, or tea tree. Any essential oil of your choice will do! Start by adding just a few drops and modify until you are happy with the mixture.
